Profile:

Barbora Micovska (b. 1984) associate director   GROSS. MAX. graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure D’ Architecture de Strasbourg.   Barbora joined GROSS. Max in 2015 after having worked for several agencies that navigate between architecture and landscape. Barbora specializes in the design and development of public realm - leading project from inception to completion. In Bordeaux Barbora worked on the ‘Quartier Belvédère’ from competition winning design to implementation of its main public square completed in 2024.  In Toulouse she is the lead project architect for Toulouse Matabiau including the Marengo Station Square which incorporates a new Multimodal Transport Hub designed by BIG Architects.  Other projects led by Barbora in France includes the short-listed invited competition with A-LA Architects for the redevelopment of Site Tour Eiffel in Paris, Avenue Montaigne courtyards in Paris as well studies for Pole Gare de Paris Nord ll. In London Barbora worked on Wembley North-East Lands and Union Park including wildflower meadows and water retention pond with reedbed filtration. In her original hometown of Bratislava Barbora is the lead landscape architect of the competition winning design ‘Urban Oasis’  - a 3-hectare mixed urban development situated near the Danube River and the Old Town - for Penta Real Estate in collaboration with Stefano Boeri Architetti.

Barbora Micovska is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
