Profile:
Daniel Reiser (b.1975), is associate director and graduated from Kassel University, Germany. During his studies he joined exchange programs in the UK and USA and worked in several offices, including GROSS. MAX. in 1998. He returned after graduation in 2002.
His German sense of rigor acts as a welcome antidote to British frivolity.
He has worked on a several large-scale projects with Zaha Hadid Architects including BMW Leipzig (Germany), the Dongdaemun World Design Park in Seoul (South Korea), and the King Abdullah Petroleum Research Centre in Riyadh (KSA).
Daniel has gained specific expertise in urban regeneration including the former Tempelhof Airport in Berlin, Eden Project Scotland in Dundee as well as several large mixed-use developments in Ireland.
Current projects as lead landscape architect include the open spaces for the National Collection Centre of the National Galleries of Scotland in Edinburgh, the refurbishment and extension of Paisley Museum, as well as public realm design and urban masterplans in the UAE and wider Middle East.
Daniel is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute and supervisor on the Pathway to Chartership. Daniel has been studio tutor at Edinburgh College of Art and invited guest lecturer at Glasgow School of Art. He has lectured internationally on the work of GROSS.MAX.
