Bridget Baines (b.1958), co-founder and director of GROSS. MAX. graduated from Edinburgh College of Art. Bridget is the lead designer of numerous (international) competition winning designs and responsible for the strategic design and master planning of all major GROSS. MAX. projects. Her worldwide expertise is the design of public realm and urban design across all scales bringing a highly conceptual approach with vast technical expertise. Bridget is a great advocate of teamwork and promoting design as a participatory process of creative multi-cultural consultation and commitment to work together in a creative atmosphere where people join a journey of discovery based on exchange, experiment and mutual respect.
Bridget is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute and has been lecturing in Denmark, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Japan, China and USA. Between 2008 and 2017 Bridget was visiting professor at GSD Harvard.
